Doug Wendel

Bio

Coach Wendel started his career in Plano and was an assistant in Carrollton and Lake Highlands before accepting the Head Coach / Athletic Director job in (3A) Eustace Tx. Prior to his arrival Eustace had not made the playoffs in a decade. He led Eustace to the playoffs 3 consecutive years. In 2011, the Wendel's moved to (5A) Ardmore Oklahoma. Ardmore made the playoffs all four year's Coach Wendel was there and advanced to the semi-finals twice. Coach Wendel came to Midlothian in the spring of 2015 and thoroughly enjoys the school, community, and especially the student athletes at Midlothian High School. Under his guidance the Panthers have had 7 winning seasons in a row (6 playoff appearances) and advanced to the third round thrice.
